INFORMATION FOR MUSICIANS

We have jazz jams at Tuesday nights and live music on Friday nights. 

 

On Tuesday you can just bring your instrument and ask the musicians in charge if you can play along. 

 

When you're interested in playing on Friday:

• Please send me an email with some information and a link to your website.

• The Agenda-site is always very up to date. You can check here wich Friday nights are still open for booking.

• On Friday we like to have music until midnight, so depending on how many sets you can play you'll start at 21h30 or 22h00. Therefore you need to be able to play at least 2 sets of 45 minutes.

• If you come by car then please give us the licence plate number. We will buy you a card to enable you to enter the pedestrian area and unload your stuff in front of The OK. You're not allowed to park here though (see where to drive into the pedestrian area and where to park on our Contact-site).

• We have a very basic PA-system you can use: amplifier, 2 microphones, 2 speakers. There's also an electronic piano. The soundcheck you have to do yourself.

• The OK is primarily a bar. People come to listen to music but also to talk and laugh etc. so it can be quite noisy sometimes.

• Please bring an invoice and copy of your passport. For Dutch musicians: een gageverklaring is ook prima.

• Since The OK is in a street where people live we do NOT want loud music! If you decide to play too loud anyhow, then we'll interrupt you and you don't get paid. I'm sorry that I have to be so strict about that, but it can cost me my my license.
